Release date: 2 October 2026
This release adds support for using Red with Microsoft 365 Copilot, introduces a new secure company-management experience, and improves how Red keeps company access linked to the correct user.
NOTE: Customers already using Red with supported platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral do not need to move to the Microsoft 365 Copilot connection. The Microsoft 365 Copilot version has been added separately so that its current read-only requirements do not change the existing Red workflows.
Connect and manage multiple companies
UPDATED: Red now includes a secure company-management page for all supported AI platforms.
Users can use this page to:
- connect one or more Big Red Cloud companies manually;
- review what companies the company connection page successfully added and add more if needed.
- see which companies they currently have connected;
- update a company connection;
- disconnect a company they no longer need.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
NEW: Red can now be used with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Microsoft 365 administrators can configure Red as a federated connector, allowing authorized users to ask Copilot questions about the Big Red Cloud companies they have connected.
For example, users can ask:
- “Show me my connected companies.”
- “Show me the customers for YOUR_COMPANY_NAME.”
- “Show me the sales invoices for YOUR_COMPANY_NAME .”
- “Show me the aged customer balances for YOUR_COMPANY_NAME .”
- “Show me the supplier transactions for YOUR_COMPANY_NAME .”
Red can retrieve supported Big Red Cloud information including customers, suppliers, products, accounts, sales invoices, purchases, transactions, VAT information, aged balances and allocation information.
Read-only access in Copilot
Red in Microsoft 365 Copilot is currently read-only.
This means Copilot can use Red to search, retrieve, summaries and analyze Big Red Cloud information, but it cannot currently create, update or delete accounting records through the Microsoft 365 Copilot connector.
Red’s existing integrations with other supported AI platforms continue to support their existing functionality.
Secure Microsoft 365 sign-in
NEW: Microsoft 365 Copilot users are now connected to Red using their Microsoft 365 identity.
Each user signs in with their own Microsoft 365 account and then connects the Big Red Cloud companies they are authorized to use.
Company access is kept separate for each Microsoft user. Connecting a company for one Microsoft 365 user does not make that company available to another user.
Improved company access and security
UPDATED: Red now has stronger separation between users and their connected companies.
For Microsoft 365 Copilot:
- company access is linked to the signed-in Microsoft user;
- users can connect multiple Big Red Cloud companies;
- one user cannot access another user’s Red company connections;
- secure company connection links expire and cannot be reused;
- Big Red Cloud credentials are entered only on Red’s secure connection page, not into a Copilot chat.
Users should never enter Big Red Cloud API keys or other credentials directly into an AI conversation.
