Red 1.5.0 Release Notes 05/08/2026

Modified on Tue, 18 Aug at 2:53 PM

Red has been updated with more reliable actions, stronger company connections, clearer connection instructions, and improved access to helpful resources and webinar content.

Action Reliability

FIXED: Red is now more reliable when carrying out actions such as creating, updating, deleting, emailing, and processing batches.

Previously, Red could correctly understand that a user wanted to make a change, but may still fail to continue with the correct tool. This could result in the user being asked to reconnect, retry the request, or confirm the action again.

Red now:

  • keeps track of the requested action while it checks records and prepares a preview;
  • carries the correct request through to the user’s confirmation;
  • supports confirmations such as “yes”, “create it”, “delete it”, and “send it” more reliably;
  • keeps actions linked to the correct company connection;
  • prevents an action prepared for one company from being used against another company;
  • gives a clearer response when an action is not supported.

Company Connection Flow and Reliability

FIXED: The company connection process now has clearer instructions and a simpler distinction between the secure connection link and the confirmation code.

Previously, some users connected their companies successfully, but then received an incorrect error and be asked to connect again.

This issue has now been fixed. Red is better able to keep the correct company connection available while a user continues working, including when the AI platform retries a request or starts a new tool session.

Helpful Resources

UPDATED: Red is better at noticing when a user is asking for guidance rather than asking Red to perform an accounting action.

For example, it can now more reliably tell the difference between:

  • “How do I create a sales invoice?” — a help question that should return useful resources, such as Freshdesk articles and YouTube videos.
  • “Create a sales invoice.” — an action the user wants Red to carry out.

This reduces the chance of Red treating a help question as an instruction to change company data.

Red can now more reliably provide relevant help (without accidently triggering an action request) for questions such as:

  • How do I create a sales invoice?
  • How do I delete a customer?
  • Where can I find a particular report?
  • What setup is needed before I can use this feature?
  • Is there a webinar showing how this works?

BRC Edu and Webinar Content

UPDATED: Red’s access to BRC Edu and webinar resources has been improved.

This should make it easier for Red to direct users to relevant videos and guidance without support staff having to search for them manually.

The update includes:

  • improved matching between customer questions and relevant resources;
  • better fallback guidance when an exact resource is not available;
  • an automated sync of supported YouTube and webinar content, so newly uploaded supported content can become available to Red more quickly.

Customer Guidance

UPDATED: Red’s instructions and examples have been refreshed to make requests clearer and easier for customers to follow.

Red now gives clearer guidance when:

  • information is missing;
  • a user needs to confirm an action
  • company setup must be checked first;
  • a request cannot be completed safely;
  • help resource is available.
